The short version
Kepka has no accounts, no ads, no trackers and no analytics SDKs. Your notes live on your iPhone and stay there.
Kepka sends nothing anywhere until you choose to and tap. By default everything works offline: speech recognition happens right on your device.
If you enable AI tools or HD transcription — only then is the content sent for processing to third-party providers (such as OpenAI). We store nothing.
Offline mode
On-device recording and transcription work without the internet. Notes, audio and settings are stored locally. In this mode your data never leaves your iPhone.
HD transcription
What is sent
For languages and quality your device cannot handle on its own, audio is sent — on your explicit action, over an encrypted connection (TLS) — to a speech-recognition provider. Text comes back.
What we store
Nothing. Neither audio nor transcripts are kept — content is discarded after processing.
AI tools
What is sent
Translation, rewriting, summaries and note chat send only the text you apply the feature to — on an explicit tap.
Who processes it
The text is processed by third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI). We send the minimum necessary and your data is not used to train models.
What we store
Nothing. The result is returned to your device and is not kept on the server.
Storage and deletion
All notes, recordings and settings are stored locally on your device. Delete the app and the data goes with it. There is nothing to delete on the server: your content is not kept there.
Third-party data sharing
Kepka does not sell, share or disclose your data. The only exception is the processors listed above (speech recognition and AI providers), which receive only the content required for the feature.
Children’s privacy
Kepka does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app requires no account and asks for no personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date of the current version is always shown at the top of this page.
